All of 45 minutes cruising today…

We had just a very short cruise today, from Alvechurch to Hopwood, where we knew there were nice moorings.  We were moored up and sitting outside drinking coffee and enjoying the sunshine by 10.30 this morning!  It’s about the only decent place to stop before the environs of Brum close in around you!  We will stay here tomorrow and then head for Kings Norton Junction and on to the Stratford Canal to The Drawbridge in Shirley to collect Russ on Monday – it’s about a 3 hour cruise from here so that will be just right to meet him around lunch time.

SDC10878Lower Bittell Reservoir – there are some permanent long term moorings here, very attractive with the reservoir one side and heath-land the other
